We are Evangelicals because we believe fully in the Gospel (Evangelical and Gospel come from same word vangelo in Greek which means Good News)
We're Christians because we follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
We're a Church because we are a group of people saved by God by Grace and we, each one of us, get together to worship God, to help our brothers and sisters in Christ to grow in the faith and to be witnesses for Christ to those who don't know God.

The view of our church from the outside

With our luggage in hand and a vision from God in our hearts, we arrived in Syracuse in September 1998. In those days we saw many obstacles and difficulties to overcome but we also experienced God's hand which guided and sustained us, making good on every promise that he had made for us while in Brazil. This is how it's been through today; God is faithful!

Bethlehem Assembly of God Missionary is a church with a vision for the city of Syracuse. All the believers in this city know that God has a people to save. This is the time and today is the day.

Together with those whom God has already called we want to tell of Jesus; that he saves, frees, heals, baptizes with the Holy Spirit and guarantees us eternal life.

We want to be a church with a purpose, not a human purpose, but one from God's heart. Our mission without pretense is to do His Holy Will, declaring His Word, helping the less well-off, offering young people an atmosphere different from that filled with drugs, alcohol, prostitution, etc. It's to be a group of God's children who, together, can worship Him in the beauty of His Holiness. The heart of God and the hand of man.

Our social department came from inside the church because we recognized the necessity of providing for the needs of others. To do this better the social department Bethlehem (house of bread) was founded; which, is where we do all our outreach. Founded to invest in people, the principal objective is to assist families and disadvantaged individuals. Our activities have had much success in the city and the province because of our volunteers who provide constant help to needy families and individuals. They distribute food and clothes and also provide interventions to sustain families and give spiritual guidance for everyday problems. In a society that is continually degrading, a hand held out to man is a cup of water in a desert.

Today God has given us the possibility to assist hundreds of families and to meet their needs in whatever way we can but above all Bethlehem Social Department wants to be a spiritual house of bread, a place where many fee; the necessity to move closer to God, the supreme and eternal Good.
